As a Data Management interlock lead, you will lead sales and growth focus for our data management offerings and have ownership of seamless delivery along with delivery lead. This role is central to driving data modernization, helping clients create value from unstructured data, identifying and converting data-driven solution and IP opportunities, and managing large, multi-disciplinary teams across industries including insurance, healthcare, banking, retail, travel, utilities and others. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, deep data domain expertise, and experience overseeing large-scale delivery for complex client engagements across geographies.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
1. Revenue and Sales Growth Strategy· Define and execute sales strategies to drive top-line revenue growth across data products, platforms, and services.· Set and monitor sales targets aligned with company goals.· Identify high-growth market segments and create tailored go-to-market plans.
2. New client acquisition and market engagement· Identify and pursue new business opportunities for data-related services in the market. Build relationships with potential clients, understanding their data management, data modernization, data migration, data governance needs and challenges.· Develop compelling proposals and presentations to win new accounts.· Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to showcase expertise in data management.
3. Build client relationships and expand opportunities · Work closely with existing clients to address ongoing delivery related priorities· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their data needs and challenges.· Drive new business development, including prospecting, pitch creation, and closing deals.· Ensure client retention and upsell opportunities through value-driven engagement.· Understand evolving data requirements & challenges· Continuously mine new opportunities to expand the relationship and deliver higher value to clients · Define policies for effective data collection, storage, analysis, and security. Maintain compliance with legal standards for data protection and privacy.
4. Data Strategy & Practice Leadership· Define and lead the data management strategy and roadmap for the services business, aligning with market needs, client transformation goals, and emerging technology trends.· Act as a trusted advisor to CXOs and senior client stakeholders, helping shape their data strategies and transformation roadmaps.· Customize solutions and messaging based on the unique data maturity levels and regulatory requirements of each industry· Drive data modernization offerings, including cloud migration, data lakehouse design, metadata management, master data management (MDM), data quality frameworks, and governance.
5. Client Solutioning & Innovation· Lead cross-industry solution design and pre-sales efforts, collaborating with sales, domain consultants, and technical architects to craft compelling, scalable data management solutions for enterprise clients.· Identify and drive the development of reusable solutions and IP, including accelerators, frameworks, and reference architectures to differentiate our offerings in the market.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative data management solutions tailored to client requirements.· Define strategies for data governance, integration, quality assurance, and security to address client challenges effectively.
6. Portfolio Oversight & Delivery· Oversee a portfolio of data engagements, ensuring successful execution, profitability, and client satisfaction.· Govern delivery excellence across engagements—ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and budgets while mitigating risk.
· 20+ experience scaling a data management practice within a global consulting or IT services firm.· Demonstrated success managing large, complex data programs for Fortune 500 clients across industries.· Proven ability to solution, sell, and deliver multi-million dollar data engagements.· Ability to oversee the technical aspects of data value chain o Understand data ecosystem – data strategy aligning with business goals, data governance, quality, medallion architecture, and so on o Oversee the design and implementation of modern data platforms · Experience with the key elements of data lifecycle while designing and recommending data solutions to clients:o Scalable Data Architectureso Integration of various data sources, ensuring that data is collected, processed, and made available in a structured manner.o Data Security and Compliance: Ensure that data systems comply with relevant security and privacy regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, etc., and are secure from threats.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.· Proven experience in winning and delivering accounts within the data management domain or similar industries.· 20+ years of experience in data-related project delivery, including 10+ years in a leadership or delivery management role.· Strong knowledge of data engineering, data warehousing, data lakes, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and data governance frameworks.· Experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or hybrid project management methodologies.· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
