Your Team
The Clearing Risk Data Analytics & Framework team is responsible for quantifying, analysing, and reporting the clearing risks that arise from ASX’s Clearing Houses acting as CCPs to all novated transactions covering both cash equities and exchange traded derivatives, partnership with risk control in ensuring clearing risk are undertaken in accordance with approved policies, standards and procedures.
You will lead the management and transformation of critical clearing risk data assets for ASX. Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance by driving enhancements in data processes, frameworks, and controls. Champion a data-driven culture and support strategic objectives through advanced analytics and robust governance.
Your Responsibilities
Champion data leadership for run and change initiatives, including data remediation and risk analytics projects. Oversee governance for clearing risk, maintaining registers of data owners and approved sources.Drive a data-focused culture: Promote high data literacy across the Clearing Risk team and embed best practices in data management.Ensure data quality and compliance: Define and monitor Critical Data Elements (CDEs), implement controls, dashboards, and remediation plans to meet regulatory and internal standards.Enable strategic alignment and analytics uplift: Align data strategy with business needs, enhance analytics capability, and support predictive analytics development.Collaborate and advise: Partner with stakeholders and the broader Clearing Risk team to implement practical data management improvements. Act as subject matter expert on data governance, risk analytics, and dashboard design.Risk framework: Manage and contribute to different committees/working groups (e.g. Initial Margin Review, Risk Consultative Committee, ASX Stress-testing Advisory Group)
Must Have
Your experience and qualifications:
Tertiary qualification with a technical focus (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Finance) and relevant industry experience.Strong knowledge of financial risk modelling, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks.Expertise in data management, governance, analytics, and quality management.Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, SQL, R, Python).Experience in financial services.Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and quantitative skills.Effective stakeholder management and change leadership skills.
